200G DAC Cables Achieve Nanosecond Interconnects for Dual DGX Spark

NVIDIA DGX Spark, is rapidly becoming the platform of first choice for AI developers and researchers conducting model prototyping and local inference with its compact desktop form factor and powerful Grace Blackwell Superchip computing abilities. Equipped with NVIDIA ConnectX™ NICs supporting 200Gb/s high-speed networking, it enables two DGX Spark systems to interconnect and process large AI models with up to 405 billion parameters.

If invest heavily in NVIDIA DGX Spark to achieve peak AI training and inference speeds, latency and stability issues often become critical bottlenecks in dual-system interconnection scenarios, which significantly degrading overall performance.

AICPLIGHT latest 200G QSFP56 Direct Attach Cable (DAC) high-speed interconnect solution has achieved complete success in dual-system interconnection tests with NVIDIA DGX™ Spark desktop AI supercomputer. This fully validates the exceptional performance of DAC in high-bandwidth, low-latency, and energy-efficient AI interconnects.

Staying at the forefront of technological trends, AICPLIGHT rapidly established a dual NVIDIA DGX Spark test environment in its internal lab. Using its self-developed 200G QSFP56 DAC cables, it achieved point-to-point 200G high-speed connectivity.

Solution Advantage

1.Zero-Bit-Error Performance

The ConnectX™-7 NIC adopts a 100G SerDes architecture, while the 200G QSFP56 DAC is based on 50G SerDes. When running 50G SerDes signals over 100G SerDes channels, test results show zero raw physical errors per lane—meaning the link achieves error-free transmission even before FEC (Forward Error Correction) intervention. The default Standard_RS-FEC (544, 514) on the NIC port further safeguards error performance, achieving true zero-error transmission.

2.Low Power Consumption & High Stability

The copper-based DAC requires no power drive, generates minimal heat, and effectively reduces thermal stress in desktop environments while ensuring rock-solid connection stability.

3.Ultra-Low Latency

With no electro-optical conversion, the DACs transmit only electrical signals directly, achieving nanosecond-level latency and significantly boosting AI computational efficiency.
