3m (10ft) NVIDIA (InfiniBand) Compatible 400G OSFP Finned Top to 2 x 200G QSFP56 InfiniBand HDR Active Optical Breakout Cable
The NVIDIA/Mellanox MFA7U10-H003 is an 400Gb/s twin-port OSFP to 2x200Gb/s twin-port QSFP56 InfiniBand HDR Active Optical splitter Cable. Using the Octal Small Formfactor Plug (OSFP) and Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable 56 (QSFP56), this configuration contains eight high-speed electrical copper pairs, each operating at data rates of up to 50Gb/s. This cable is compliant with OSFP Rev. 5.0 and IEEE 802.3cd standards.
AOCs enable higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a low cost, and reduced power requirement in the data centers, used extensively in cloud and supercomputers. Additionally, AOCs are widely employed for connecting NVIDIA GPU-based systems to InfiniBand networks and InfiniBand storage fabrics.
AOC cables offer the low-cost, high-value proposition and increased reliability over connectorized transceivers. They are lighter, more flexible, allow greater airflow, and support longer distances when compared with DAC cables.

Q:

What is the difference between HDR and NDR InfiniBand cables?

by h***m on 2025-07-10 10:16:51

A:

HDR (High Data Rate) supports up to 200Gb/s per port, while NDR (Next Data Rate) can handle 400Gb/s. Both are used for high-performance computing, but NDR is designed for newer-generation systems requiring ultra-high bandwidth.
