The Female APC connectors look well finished and seat nicely in the modules. Return loss matters in our setup, and so far we have not seen any unusual alarms.

FAQ
Ask a QuestionFind answers to common questions about our products.
Can it connect an 800G multimode port to two 400G SR4 ports?
Yes, if the 800G side uses a compatible MPO-16 APC interface and the two 400G sides use compatible MPO-8 APC SR4 interfaces. The transceiver lane mapping must match the cable breakout design.
Can I use this as a normal 400G SR4-to-SR4 cable?
Usually no. For a direct 400G SR4-to-400G SR4 connection, an MPO-8 to MPO-8 cable is normally the correct choice, not an MPO-16 breakout cable.
Can the two MPO-8 branches be connected in any order?
They should not be connected randomly. Branch A and Branch B should follow the required lane mapping of the transceiver and switch configuration to avoid link failure or swapped channels.
What should be customized for this type of breakout cable?
The most important options are branch length, labeling, fiber mapping, polarity, and jacket type. For complex 800G-to-400G deployments, clear branch labels help reduce installation mistakes.
Questions & Answers Title
Ask a questionThe 20m breakout length was just right between our two edge cabinet groups. This AICPLIGHT Type B cable lined up correctly, and the switch ports did not run into link-down issues.
The jacket feels solid, and it did not show obvious scuffs when routed through cable managers. No problems in use, though bolder numbering on the breakout ends would be easier to read.
