My home lab rack is pretty tight, and this harness cleaned up the cabling behind the gear. The small MDC plugs really save space, and the cable bends smoothly around the server chassis.

FAQ
Ask a QuestionFind answers to common questions about our products.
Why is the MPO side APC but the LC side UPC?
Many high-speed parallel single-mode MPO interfaces use APC to reduce back reflection, while duplex LC modules commonly use UPC interfaces. This cable is built to match that mixed-interface link.
Can I use this cable with multimode SR modules?
No. This is an OS2 single-mode cable with a yellow jacket, so it should be used with single-mode optics only. It is not suitable for OM3/OM4 SR multimode modules.
How does Type B polarity affect the LC branch order?
Type B defines how the MPO fibers are reversed and mapped to the LC branches. Follow the branch labels and system port map so each transmit/receive lane lands on the correct LC pair.
Questions & Answers Title
Ask a questionWe replaced the jumpers on several GPU servers with these MPO to MDC breakout cables. The front panel looks much cleaner now, and we can fit more modules without it feeling crowded.
The branch side on this AICPLIGHT cable is neatly built, and the MDC plugs are firm without being hard to remove. We did not have to force anything in, which is nice for dense ports.
