Yes. The AICPLIGHT 800G OSFP to 2×400G OSFP AEC breakout cable is designed to connect one 800G OSFP port to two 400G OSFP ports, provided the host device supports 2×400G breakout mode.
At 800G, passive copper cables are more limited by signal loss as length increases. AICPLIGHT AEC cables use active retiming to improve signal integrity, making them a better choice when passive DAC is too short or has insufficient signal margin.
This type of AEC breakout cable is intended for short-reach connections, such as within-rack or short cross-rack cabling. For this breakout design, available lengths typically support up to 5 m, depending on the selected SKU.
We received the cable and the packaging looks good. We’ll be testing it in our lab setup this week.
This is the short high-speed cable we needed, and the length is just right. The device recognized it quickly, and we may order a few more.
The AICPLIGHT cable has been running stable so far, with no link drops. It works well for in-rack connections.
