Check the host port design and thermal structure. OSFP Flat Top is typically used when the device provides its own heat sink, while OSFP Finned Top is used when the cable end needs external fins for heat dissipation.
This cable is designed for 400G transmission based on 8×50G PAM4 electrical lanes. If the host port is configured for a different breakout or lane mode, the link may fail even if the connector physically fits.
It can be used when both host devices support the correct 400G OSFP and QSFP-DD interfaces. For mixed-vendor environments, AICPLIGHT recommends confirming the switch model, NIC model, firmware version, and port mode before ordering.
Please provide the device models on both ends, the port form factors, target link speed, required cable length, and whether OFNP is required. This helps AICPLIGHT verify the right OSFP Flat Top to QSFP-DD configuration before
Smooth experience overall, and our switch recognized it without any trouble. Stability was our main concern, and so far we haven’t seen link drops or BER issues.
The packaging was simple, but the cable itself works well. It plugs in cleanly and is handy for test links.
Much easier than using modules plus separate fiber jumpers. The rack looks cleaner, performance has been stable, and we may buy more for the next expansion.
