Yes. The 400G OSFP port normally needs to be configured as 2×200G so that the device can map each QSFP56 branch to an independent logical port.
No. The QSFP56 branches are intended for 200G HDR links, not 100G EDR operation. For EDR devices, a matching 100G EDR cable should be selected.
Breakout AOCs have multiple large transceiver ends and integrated optical fiber, so pulling, twisting, or bending them too tightly can damage the cable. Extra care is recommended during routing, especially for longer lengths.
Yes, this type of breakout AOC can support up to 50m, depending on the exact configuration. It is suitable for connecting 400G NDR OSFP switch ports to 200G HDR QSFP56 switch, NIC, or DPU ports within supported distance limits.
