What does 8×100G PAM4 mean for this cable?
The cable carries 800G by using eight electrical/optical lanes at 100G each with PAM4 signaling. This lane structure supports high-speed OSFP-to-OSFP transmission.
Is the 14W power rating for the whole cable or each end?
For this type of 800G OSFP AOC, power is typically specified per end. AICPLIGHT designs the cable for high-speed optical transmission while keeping power consumption within the expected OSFP AOC range.
Why are both ends OSFP Finned Top?
Finned Top OSFP housings help improve heat dissipation in high-density 800G ports. This makes the cable suitable for switch-side OSFP ports that require integrated thermal handling.
Is this AOC easier to route than an 800G copper cable?
