This cable is designed for 200G to 2×100G breakout connections. Speed fallback depends on whether the switch port, NIC port, and breakout configuration support the target rate, so it should be verified against the host devices.
No. QSFP56 and QSFP-DD are different form factors, so the cable must match the physical port type on the equipment. A QSFP-DD port may support some QSFP form factors in certain cases, but compatibility should still be confirmed before deployment.
Yes. The 200G switch port must support and be configured for 2×100G breakout mode; otherwise, the two 100G branches may not link up correctly.
Passive DAC is best for short links, commonly 0.5m, 1m, 2m, or 3m depending on the application. For longer runs or tighter signal-margin requirements, AEC or AOC may be a better choice.
The length was just right, and cable routing in the rack was easier than expected. Packaging was solid too, with no visible damage.
Bought this to replace a shorter DAC, and it does the job well. The connectors fit smoothly, and it is fine for short-distance links.
Our engineer installed it and ran a few quick checks, everything looked normal. For the price, the quality feels pretty good.
