Choose a 25G SFP28 DAC for short links inside the same rack or between nearby racks. It is usually more cost-effective, consumes less power, and is easier to deploy than using two optical transceivers plus fiber patch cables.
Yes. AICPLIGHT can provide dual-compatible coding, so each end of the cable can be programmed for a different vendor when needed. This is useful for links such as a Mellanox/NVIDIA NIC to a Cisco, Arista, Dell, or other 25G switch.
It is not recommended unless the switch or NIC clearly supports 25G SFP28 DACs running at 10G. For a stable 10G link, a 10G SFP+ DAC is usually the safer choice.
Plugged it in and the link came up right away. It has been running for a few days with no issues, and the latch feels solid.
The AICPLIGHT high-speed cable worked well for our short-reach setup. Low latency and the packaging was better than expected.
Used it between a switch and a server, and it was recognized without any trouble. The cable is a bit stiff, but performance has been fine.
