This AICPLIGHT cable breaks one 800G OSFP port into two 400G OSFP ports. The 400G branch ends are OSFP Flat Top, not QSFP112 or QSFP-DD, so the host ports must match the OSFP form factor
The 800G OSFP end is Finned Top, while the two 400G OSFP branch ends are Flat Top. Please check the thermal and mechanical design of your switch, server, or NIC before ordering.
Yes, it is designed for 800G-to-2×400G breakout connections, such as connecting an 800G OSFP switch port to two 400G OSFP ports. The switch or adapter must support 2×400G breakout mode.
Usually yes, as long as the host port supports 2×400G breakout and the unused branch does not conflict with the device configuration. Each branch is treated as a separate logical 400G link after breakout is enabled.
Good build quality, and the link came up right away. It has been stable for our short-distance connection with no dropouts so far.
Clean packaging, and the cable is reasonably easy to route. This AICPLIGHT high-speed cable was recognized properly on our switch.
Good value for short in-rack connections. The cable is a little stiff, but performance has been solid.
