It is commonly used to connect one 800G OSFP switch port to two 400G QSFP112 ports on network adapters or DPUs. This helps split one 800G port into two 400G links for short-reach data center connections.
Yes. The 800G end uses an OSFP Finned Top form factor, while the two 400G branch ends are QSFP112. Please make sure the host ports match the form factors on both ends.
Yes. Once the switch port is configured for breakout mode, each 400G branch works as an independent logical port. Leaving one branch unused will not affect the working branch.
This passive DAC is recommended for short, low-power connections up to 3 meters. For 4m or 5m links, an ACC version with equalization may be more suitable.
This AICPLIGHT cable has been stable so far, with no link drops noticed. A solid option for short high-speed connections.
Overall quality is good, and the connectors fit well. It would be even better if the cable were a little more flexible.
Low power consumption was the main reason we chose DAC. After deployment, it has been running steadily and offers good value.
