Yes. Compared with passive copper breakout DAC, this active optical breakout cable is better suited for longer and cleaner cable routing, with supported lengths typically up to 30m. It is useful when copper breakout cables are too short, heavy, or difficult to route.
Yes. The 100G branch ends are designed for HDR100 QSFP56 links, and QM8700 HDR platforms can support HDR100 operation when the port configuration is set correctly.
HDR100 and EDR are both 100G, but they use different electrical lane structures. HDR100 uses 2×50G PAM4, while EDR uses 4×25G NRZ, so matching the speed alone is not enough for compatibility.
The AICPLIGHT high-speed cable works very well, and our device recognized it without any issue. It’s a good fit for our small server room upgrade.
The cable is a bit more flexible than I expected, which made routing easier. We’ve used it for a few weeks now with no link drops.
The product itself works fine, and the link came up normally after plugging it in. Shipping could be a little faster, but the overall experience was good.
