Find answers to common questions about our products.

Can I use this AICPLIGHT cable together with existing NVIDIA/Mellanox InfiniBand cables in the same QM9700 or QM9790 deployment?

Yes. This AICPLIGHT cable is designed for standard InfiniBand environments and can be used alongside original IB cables when the switch port mode, device firmware, and link speed are properly matched.

What type of connection is this OSFP to 2×QSFP56 breakout AOC mainly designed for?

It is mainly used to connect a 400G OSFP switch port to two 200G QSFP56 HDR ports. Typical use cases include connecting NDR-class OSFP switch ports to HDR switches, HDR NICs, or compatible DPU ports.

If I only connect one QSFP56 branch and leave the other branch unused, will the active branch still work?

Yes. After the OSFP port is configured in split mode, each QSFP56 branch works as an independent logical port. The unused branch will not affect the connected branch.

Can the QSFP56 splitter ends run at EDR speed?

No. The QSFP56 splitter ends are intended for 200G HDR connections. They are not designed for EDR-rate operation.

This AICPLIGHT high-speed cable was plug and play with our switches. After running for a while, both temperature and link status have remained normal.

Overall, it performs well for short-reach high-speed connections. Shipping was fine, and the port came up quickly after installation.

I was a little concerned about compatibility with our existing gear, but it worked smoothly once connected. The cable is flexible enough, which made rack routing easier.
