Yes. After the OSFP port is properly configured for 2×200G breakout, each QSFP56 branch works as an independent logical port. Leaving one branch unused will not affect the other active link.
Yes. The two 200G QSFP56 branches can be connected to separate compatible devices, as long as the host OSFP port supports and is configured for 2×200G breakout mode.
Yes. The 400G OSFP port must be configured as 2×200G logical ports. Without the correct port breakout setting, one or both QSFP56 links may fail to come up.
Yes. This cable is designed for InfiniBand HDR breakout links, such as connecting a 400G OSFP switch port to two 200G QSFP56 HDR ports on compatible switches, NICs, or DPUs.
We plugged the cable in and the link came up right away. It has been stable for short-reach connections with no dropouts so far.
The build quality is better than I expected, and the connectors feel solid. We’re using it between a switch and NIC, and it’s been working fine.
No compatibility issue on our side, and the device recognized it normally. Packaging was good too, though I’d like to see more length options.
