Find answers to common questions about our products.

Can I mix this AICPLIGHT cable with original NVIDIA/Mellanox InfiniBand cables in the same NDR cluster?

Yes. AICPLIGHT InfiniBand DAC cables are designed for standards-based interoperability and can be used with original IB cables in compatible NVIDIA NDR environments.

Can the QSFP112 breakout ends connect to ConnectX or BlueField devices?

Yes. The 400G QSFP112 ends are intended for compatible NVIDIA ConnectX-7/ConnectX-8 network adapters or BlueField-3 DPUs that support the required 400G NDR link mode.

If I only plug in one of the two 400G branches, will the other unused branch affect the active link?

No. After the OSFP port is configured for breakout, the two branches are treated as separate logical ports, so one branch can operate independently.

Where does this cable fit best in a data center layout?

It is best suited for short NDR breakout links inside the same rack or between adjacent racks. For longer runs, an ACC or optical solution may be more appropriate.
