Can the 200G OSFP branch ends be downshifted to NDR200?
Yes, the branch ends can be used for NDR200 connections when the host device and port configuration support this mode, such as compatible ConnectX-7 NDR200 OSFP NICs.
Can the OSFP branch ends be used with QSFP112 network cards?
No. OSFP and QSFP112 are different form factors with different mechanical dimensions, so they cannot be directly plugged into each other.
Can NDR200 connect directly to HDR 200G?
No. NDR200 and HDR 200G use different lane architectures, so they are not directly interoperable even though both are 200G-class links.
How long can this 800G to 4x200G passive DAC breakout cable be?
This type of passive DAC is designed for short-reach links, typically up to 2m depending on the cable option. For longer copper links, an active copper solution may be more suitable.
