It is a 1-to-4 breakout cable. One 800G OSFP end breaks out into four 200G QSFP112 ends for NDR short-reach copper links.
No. The breakout ends are QSFP112, so they cannot be plugged into OSFP ports. If your 200G device side uses OSFP, you need an OSFP breakout-end cable instead.
The OSFP Finned Top end is typically used on the 800G OSFP side, where higher port density and thermal handling are required. The four QSFP112 ends connect to the 200G branch-side ports.
This type of 800G to 4×200G QSFP112 ACC can support up to 5m, depending on the selected length and host system support. It is designed for short-reach copper cabling where passive DAC distance is not enough.
We tested a few pieces as spare cables first, and the process went better than expected. The AICPLIGHT high-speed cable looks like a good option for small batch replenishment.
The connector feels secure once plugged in, not loose or shaky. Our field engineer said the installation was straightforward and didn’t take much time.
The cable performs fine, but you do need to leave some bend room when routing it. For high-density racks, planning the path in advance is a good idea.
