Find answers to common questions about our products.

What kind of link is this cable mainly designed for?

It is mainly used to break out one 800G OSFP NDR switch port into four 200G QSFP112 links. The branch ends are typically connected to compatible NICs or DPUs.

If I only use three of the four breakout branches, will the unused branch affect the others?

No. After the OSFP port is configured for breakout, each branch is recognized as an independent logical port and can operate separately.

When should I choose this passive DAC instead of an ACC version?

Choose this passive DAC for short links within 3m when low cost, near-zero power consumption, and ultra-low latency are the priority. For longer copper links, an ACC version with active signal conditioning is usually more suitable.
