Can any 100GbE optical module connect one switch port to four 25GbE servers?

No. Use a breakout-capable interconnect, such as 100GbE SR4 with an MPO breakout harness or a 100GbE-to-4×25GbE DAC/AOC. Duplex WDM optics such as 100GbE CWDM4 and LR4 are designed for point-to-point 100GbE links and cannot split into four independent 25GbE connections.

Can a port that is already running as 4×25GbE be changed back to native 100GbE later?

Yes, but traffic on that port will be interrupted. Remove the breakout logical interfaces, restore the port to 100GbE mode, and reload the relevant switch service.

Can multiple switches be shipped to remote sites and configured automatically after power-on?

Yes. Cumulus Linux supports Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), which can retrieve an initialization script through the out-of-band management interface and DHCP. With the management network, DHCP service, and provisioning script prepared in advance, baseline settings such as hostname, management IP, VLANs, uplinks, and access policies can be deployed automatically.
