What port capacity is available after using 4×25GbE breakouts?

A 100GbE QSFP28 port can break out into four 25GbE SFP28 connections, but the adjacent QSFP28 port is disabled. As a result, the platform supports up to 128×25GbE connections—not 256×25GbE from all 64 physical cages. In 2×50GbE breakout mode, all 64 QSFP28 ports remain available without blocking adjacent ports.

Can the SN4600C carry virtualization, storage, and high-performance compute traffic on the same fabric?

Yes. The platform supports scalable Layer 2, Layer 3, and VXLAN environments for virtualized data centers, distributed storage, and high-throughput workloads.

How is the Onyx version managed during initial deployment and daily operations?

The MSN4600-CS2F includes NVIDIA Onyx and can be managed through the CLI, WebUI, and SNMP. Initial network setup can be completed through the front-panel RS232 console or through DHCP on the management interface. The dedicated RJ45 management port supports 10/100/1000Mb auto-negotiation. Back up the configuration before upgrades and confirm that the selected Onyx release supports the required features.
