Is the Cumulus Linux version suitable for integration with an existing automation workflow?

Yes. Cumulus Linux supports centralized configuration and state management through NVUE, with CLI, REST API, and Ansible-based automation options.

Can all 64×100GbE ports be broken out into 4×25GbE connections for server access?

No. The SN4600C supports 4×25GbE breakout on selected QSFP28 ports, but each breakout group consumes resources from an adjacent QSFP28 port. The system therefore supports up to 128×25GbE or 10GbE interfaces.

Can 40GbE, 50GbE, and 100GbE links operate on the same switch?

Yes. The QSFP28 interfaces support multiple link speeds, allowing the SN4600C to support legacy 40GbE connections alongside newer 50GbE and 100GbE links.

Can a Cumulus Linux SN4600C operate in the same network as existing Onyx-based SN4600 switches?

Yes, they can interoperate within the same Ethernet fabric. However, their operating systems, configuration workflows, CLI syntax, and automation methods are different.
