Find answers to common questions about our products.

Is the SN5600 still a practical choice when not every AI server is ready for 800G?

Yes. The SN5600 supports 800G, 400G, 200G, and lower-speed Ethernet connectivity, allowing the network to scale at the same pace as GPU servers, NICs, and storage infrastructure.

How can an OSFP port on the SN5600 connect to 400G QSFP112 NICs?

An 800G OSFP port can be deployed in a 2×400G breakout design using compatible OSFP-to-2×QSFP112 interconnects.

Are there port-planning limitations when breaking out 800G interfaces?

Yes. A port can be split into 2×400G or 4×200G connections without affecting adjacent ports. However, an 8×100G breakout on an odd-numbered port consumes the resources of its adjacent even-numbered port.

Can the SN5600 support high-power 800G optical transceivers?

Yes. All 64 OSFP ports support optical modules rated up to 18W.
