Is MCX4121A-ACAT still a good option for new 25G server deployments?
It is better suited for maintaining, expanding, or replacing adapters in existing 10G/25G ConnectX-4 Lx environments. NVIDIA states that the ConnectX-4 Lx product line has moved to end-of-life, so new builds should also compare newer ConnectX-5 or ConnectX-6 Dx options.
What is the difference between MCX4121A-ACAT and MCX4121A-XCAT?
Both are dual-port SFP28 ConnectX-4 Lx cards, but MCX4121A-ACAT is the 25GbE version, while MCX4121A-XCAT is the 10GbE version. If the server is being upgraded to 25G access, ACAT is the correct 25G SKU.
How do ACAT, ACUT, ACHT, and ACST differ in this 25G dual-port family?
MCX4121A-ACAT is the standard 25GbE dual-port SFP28 card. ACUT adds UEFI support, ACHT adds Host Management with UEFI, and ACST is the Secure Firmware variant.
