Is the MCX75310AAS-NEAT an InfiniBand card, an Ethernet card, or both?

It is a ConnectX-7 VPI adapter card that supports both InfiniBand and Ethernet. For this OPN, NVIDIA lists NDR 400Gb/s InfiniBand as the default speed and 400GbE as the Ethernet mode.

What speeds can this single-port OSFP card support?

In InfiniBand mode, it supports NDR, NDR200, HDR, HDR100, EDR, FDR, and SDR. In Ethernet mode, it supports 400/200/100/50/40/10/1GbE.

Does the OSFP port on this NIC use the same module style as an OSFP switch port?

Not always. NVIDIA states that ConnectX-7 adapter cards with OSFP form factor support an RHS, or Riding Heat Sink, cage only, so customers should match the OSFP module’s mechanical design to the NIC-side cage. Do not assume a switch-side finned-top OSFP module will fit the NIC-side OSFP cage.

If the card is used in Ethernet mode, does it still support RDMA?

Yes. ConnectX-7 supports RDMA over both InfiniBand and Ethernet.

Can this card connect to third-party 400G Ethernet switches?

Yes,RDMA performance depends heavily on the switch platform and lossless Ethernet configuration.
